How do you know you need it?

Water coming in now

Contain it inside with buckets and towels, keep clear of light fittings, and call us.

Tiles or slates on the ground

Keep people away from below the eaves until it is checked.

Loose ridge or chimney pot

Anything that could fall is made safe first.

Our approach

How do we do it?

  1. 01

    Make safe

Loose material secured or removed and the roof made watertight.

  2. 02

    Photograph for insurance

Damage recorded clearly with photographs before and after.

  3. 03

    Agree the permanent repair

Written scope for the proper repair once the weather allows.

  4. 04

    Repair properly

Matched materials and correct fixings, not a temporary patch left in place.

Questions

Common questions

Will you help with my insurance claim?

We provide photographs and a written description of the damage and repair. Your insurer decides the claim.

Can you come out in a storm?

We will not go on a roof in high winds; it is dangerous for everyone. We advise you over the phone and attend as soon as it is safe.

What should I do while I wait?

Contain water inside, turn off electrics near the leak if it is safe to do so, move valuables and keep clear of the area below damaged eaves.
